From A1(M): exit at junction 14 onto A14 toward Huntingdon/London (E)/Cambridge/M11. Continue on M11 (signs for London/M11). At junction 8, take the A120 exit to B. Stortford/Colchester. Turn left at A120 (signs for A120/Colchester). Turn left at A120/Thremhall Ave (signs for Colchester). At Priory Wood Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A120 ramp to Colchester. Merge onto A120. Go through 1 roundabout. At Marks Farm Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A120/Coggeshall Rd. Continue to follow A120. Turn right at West St. Continue straight onto B1024/Market End. Destination will be on the left.

Situated in one of the prettiest market towns, the White Hart of Coggeshall takes its looks and surroundings straight from a picture post card. However, there is a lot more to this hotel than that. This stunning building dates back to the 15th century and still has a wealth of its original features, notably its attractive timbered rooms. All 18 bedrooms have the usual modern facilities (providing guests with the comfort and charm they'd expect from an Old English Inn) and yet the rooms still manage to retain the flavour of the original building. If you can drag yourself away from the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel, Coggeshall has much to offer. History lovers will enjoy a visit to Paycocke's, a beautifully preserved merchant house dating back to 1500. If that's not enough, the walks of the Marks Hall Estate and Arboretum are only 5 minutes drive away.
