Travelling South on the A1 - continue towards Newcastle. Bypassing Newcastle take the A69 signed towards Hexham, continue on the A69 until the 1st roundabout called Styford. Here take the 1st exit on the left, signed A68 to Darlington. Continue to the next roundabout. From here Slaley Hall is signed. Continue on the A68 to Kiln Pit Hill, following the sign, turn right.
