Hotel is located off the A386, 6 miles south from the A30. 30 miles from Junction 31 on the M5 at Exeter.
Built by the Monk family on the site of an earlier house, this Jacobean manor was embellished by the Victorian hymn writer Sabine Baring Gould. The granite mullion windows with 19th century stained glass and high ceilings with decorative plasterwork are set off by rich oak panelling. The hotel bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the views are of the formal and informal gardens.
