Travelling by car from Whitby: follow the A171 through to the village of Burniston. As you leave the village, you will enter a no speed limit stretch of road. When you come back into 30 mph zone take the first right into Barmoor Lane. Follow the road, over the ford and first left into the hotel driveway. From York: enter Scarborough on the A64. Follow the signs for Whitby A171. Keep on A171 for approximately 3 miles until signs for Scalby village. Do not turn off the main road at this sign. Continue for half a mile until you see the hotel signposted. Turn left at the sign into Barmoor Lane. Follow the road over the ford, take the first left into the hotel driveway.
