Mallyan Spout Hotel

By car from the South - leave the A1(M) at junction 45 and follow the A64 signed for York. Continue along the A64 round York to Malton. Leave the Malton bypass and turn left onto the A169 for Pickering. In Pickering, continue ahead across the roundabout following the A169 signed for Whitby. About 6 miles further on across the moors, turn left following signs for Goathland. When you reach a T junction about 2 miles later, the hotel is just in front on the other side of the road. From the North - leave the A1(M) at Jct 60 and take the A689 and then the A19 south for Middlesbrough. Past Middlesbrough, turn left onto the A174 then in Marton, take the A1043 to the right. Pick up the A171 towards Whitby, about 15 miles later at a roundabout turn right onto the A169 south for Pickering. A few miles later follow signs for Goathland. Cross the railway and continue through the village, turn left leaving through the village and you will see the hotel on the right hand side. By train - the hotel is about 4 miles from Grosmont Station (on the Middlesbrough-Whitby line), 10 minutes by taxi. At certain times a steam train runs from Grosmont to Goathland station, which is within walking distance of the hotel. PLEASE NOTE: the latest check in at this hotel is 11pm on the day of arrival.
